Job Summary

Colusa County Office of Education is recruiting for a Director Curriculum, Instruction & Educational Program who can plan, organize, direct and supervise assigned Educational Services programs, including curriculum, instruction, assessment, accountability, professional learning, S. William Abel Academy (SWAA), Farm to School, Summer School and other assigned educational programs; serve as Principal of SWAA, providing administrative, instructional and operational leadership; lead the development, implementation and monitoring of the SWAA Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP); serve as the County Office State Testing Coordinator; coordinate district LCAP review and approval activities; oversee assigned school safety and compliance responsibilities; serve as the administrative/LEA representative at IEP meetings for SWAA; provide leadership and technical assistance to County Office programs and local educational agencies; supervise and evaluate assigned staff; coordinate assigned grants, special projects and related compliance activities; and ensure compliance with applicable State and Federal laws, regulations and County Office policies.

CURRENT ASSIGNMENT LOCATION: Educational Services SALARY: $112,124 - $150,257 per year HOURS/DAYS: 8 hours per day, 220 days per year BENEFITS: Partially paid medical, dental and vision benefits; paid sick and vacation leave; CalSTRS retirement EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university. Valid California Administrative Services Credential. Valid California Teaching Credential. Minimum of five years successful certificated experience in an educational setting. Minimum of three years progressively responsible administrative experience in curriculum, instruction, assessment, accountability, alternative education, school administration, or related educational programs preferred. Experience supervising certificated and classified staff preferred. Experience with professional development, grants, school improvement, alternative education, LCAP development, and State and Federal accountability systems preferred. LICENSES & REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate will be required to provide DOJ fingerprint clearance, TB test clearance, a valid California driver’s license as described on complete job description following acceptance of job offer.
