Job Summary
Under the direction of the Superintendent or designee, the Communication and Community Engagement Specialist serves as a highly visible, culturally, and linguistically responsive bridge between families, schools, students, staff, administrators, and the broader community. The Specialist is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all district- and school-level public relations and communication efforts, establishing a consistent and transparent district voice across multiple media. Concurrently, the Specialist oversees the engagement and communication side of Community Schools, directing targeted outreach and leading strategic efforts to connect and maximize Community program resources to support student, family, and community engagement.
Requirements / Qualifications
Resume 3 Current Letters of Recommendation Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Social Sciences, Humanities, Public Administration, or a closely related field is required. Minimum of three (3) years of experience. (see Job Description)
Additional Requirements: Current Driver's License DOJ and FBI Background Clearances (at time of hire) TB (tuberculin) clearance (at time of hire) Completion of district-mandated training (within 30 days of hire) Successfully complete related WorkSteps physical (if applicable, at time of hire)
