Job Summary
The Student Support Advisor plays a key role in monitoring student progress within the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) process and 504 process in analyzing intervention data to support student success. The Advisor will coordinate and lead Student Study Team (SST) and 504 meetings and collaborate closely with School staff. In addition to documenting and following up on SST and 504 meetings, the Student Support Advisor communicates with parents, teachers, and staff regarding student progress and any necessary screenings. The Advisor also assists general education teachers in selecting appropriate curricula and developing accommodations and intervention strategies as part of pre-referral and Tier 1 supports within the MTSS framework. The role may require travel to in-person team meetings and School staff meetings to present team processes, intervention strategies, and related topics All employees are expected to follow the responsibilities and procedures as delineated in the Employee Handbook.
