Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, the Personnel Assistant performs a variety of responsible clerical duties in support of certificated and classified personnel operations; provides information and assistance to employees, job applicants, and the public regarding personnel policies and procedures; maintains confidential records; and assists with recruitment and onboarding processes that directly support student learning.
Requirements / Qualifications
You're an excellent candidate for our Personnel Assistant position if you have a passion for Human Resources, excel in a fast-paced team environment, and possess the following qualifications and competencies: Minimum of one (1) year of responsible clerical experience, including at least six (6) months of recent personnel/human resources experience Knowledge of basic public employment principles, practices, and modern office procedures Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and privileged information Strong oral and written communication skills with a commitment to tact, patience, and customer service Proficiency with computers, office software, and accurate data entry/record keeping Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Located in east San Diego County. The district is 66.3 square miles in size, and serves elementary students in grades K-8 feeding into the Grossmont Union High School District. The district has approximately 16,600 students, plus approximately 800 preschool students, with 26 schools (6 middle schools, 19 elementary schools and 1 preschool). The District is largely urban in nature with some rural areas. Regardless of what our employees’ needs are, we meet them with the personalized attention only a caring school district can provide.
