Job Summary

Job Summary

The Intervention Support Teacher (Teacher), serves as a subject expert by organizing and implementing intervention for the School through the MTSS framework. The Teacher will work with Student Support Team members, Homeschool Teachers (HST), other academic staff, parents, and students to ensure the School supports the Intervention needs of students. The Teacher organizes and maintains curriculum, and provides 20 hours of synchronous direct instruction and asynchronous instructional activities for intervention via virtual platform each week. Also, the Teacher will provide data for follow up SST and 504 meetings and communicate with parents, teachers, or staff regarding progress. The Teacher may also assist Homeschool Teachers with the selection of appropriate curricula and the development and implementation of appropriate strategies. The Teacher works under the supervision of the Director of Student Support in their role as the Intervention Support Teacher. The Teacher will not hold an HST roster. All employees are expected to follow the responsibilities and procedures as delineated in the Employee Handbook.
