Job Summary

The Fullerton School District is seeking a qualified individual for a full-time management position leading the Bond Facilities and Development department. Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, plans, directs, and oversees the work of the District's facility renovation, modernization, and new construction programs. Directs the design, development, and analysis of school building construction and modernization projects. The Director also serves as the professional liaison with the State Department of Education, the Office of Public School Construction, Division of the State Architect, and other governmental agencies. This career opportunity is an exempt, management 8 hours/day, 12 months/year position with paid holidays, sick leave, vacation, and comprehensive benefits that include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.

Requirements / Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Education: •Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, architecture, facilities planning, construction management, or another directly related field. Experience: • Five (5) years of full-time school district or public agency experience in some phase or architecture, construction, or facilities management. At least two years of experience must have been in a supervisory capacity.

RECRUITMENT PROCEDURES This is a merged promotional and open competitive recruitment. The recruitment process will consist of the following: an application and supplemental question response evaluation and structured oral interview(s). To qualify to be placed on an eligibility list, a candidate must obtain a passing score on each part of the process. Final scores will be obtained by combining the relative weights of scores on each part of the process. The resulting eligibility list will be used to fill the current and any future vacancies for one year (12 months). If a veteran's credit is claimed, proof of status (DD214) must be submitted to the Classified Personnel Commission Office at the same time the application form is submitted or before testing.
