Job Summary

Ventura Unified School District (VUSD) is seeking qualified certificated professionals to provide instructional support during a special circumstance due to a potential work stoppage. These temporary assignments are intended to ensure continuity of learning and student support during this period. These special circumstances assignments are separate from the District’s regular day-to-day substitute teacher assignments.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Copy of Transcript (Copy of all transcripts reflecting bachelor's degree) • With the passage of SB 153, the Basic Skills Requirement is no longer required effective 7/1/24. This allows for a bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher education to serve as a demonstration of basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics. Per the CTC regarding SB 153: https://www.ctc.ca.gov/docs/default-source/commission/coded/2024/coded-24-05.pdf?sfvrsn=d88d3cb1_3 Should you have difficulty attaching your documentation, please refer to the EdJoin FAQ's or contact the EdJoin Help Desk at 1-888-900-8945. Emailed, faxed, mailed, or hand delivered attachments will render your submission incomplete. If required, the application for an Emergency 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit will be supplied to appropriate candidates upon hire. For this need, substitute applicants may live out of area, but must have reasonable proximity to our district.
