Job Summary

An Afterschool ELOP Aide performs duties related to planning, implementing, organizing, and participating in the various functions related to the administration and operation of a daily Expanded Learning (ELOP) afterschool program for Pope Valley Elementary School. This position assists in the development and implementation of ELOP activities—including education/literacy support (tutoring/homework), enrichment (including but not limited to VAPA, athletics/club sports, esports), intersession offerings, and related showcases and events.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years or older • Must meet requirements under California Education Code § 45330 to support students: Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one of the following - -Completion of at least 48 semester units of college coursework. -An Associates Degree (or higher). -Pass a formal state assessment (CBEST or district-administered paraprofessional exam). • Possess and maintain a valid California Driver's license and evidence of insurability (plus previous safe driving record) • Possess a current CPR and First Aid Certificate (or obtain within 3 months of employment) • Must obtain a Cleared Criminal fingerprint background check through the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) • Must have a cleared TB Test or TB Risk Assessment (Test may be no older than the last sixty (60) days) • Other skills/permits/performance tests may be required depending on the assignment - these may include but are not limited to: First Aid/CPR, writing, reading, math, excel, and/or other job-based skill/competence assessments.
