Under general supervision, maintains and mows turf and large lawn fields and performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications
Required Qualifications: · Evidence of successful recent experience in groundskeeping, maintenance or general farm work including experience operating large power and motorized equipment. · Ability to operate power sweeper, truck, tractor, dump truck, lawn mowers and edgers; repair and maintain garden tools; follow oral and written directions; work well with other people. · Knowledge of groundskeeping; watering, spading, and lawn cutting procedures; mechanical aptitude. · Graduation from high school, or equivalent. · A California Class A driver’s license will be required within six months of employment. Must have a good driving record. Must be insurable under the District’s insurance program and must maintain insurability.
