Job Summary

Position Overview The Department Chair position supports Calbright College’s mission to offer competency-based, workforce-relevant programs for adult learners through high-impact andragogical practices in online, skills-based curriculum and assessment. In collaboration with the Dean of Learning and Instruction, the Department Chair ensures program quality, workforce relevancy, and continuous improvement of the Health Science Programs. The Department Chair provides leadership for Health Science program planning, implementation, workforce alignment, and continuous improvement. The Chair works collaboratively with faculty, industry partners, accrediting agencies, and healthcare organizations to ensure programs meet workforce demands, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. The position supports program development, approval processes, the identification of experiential learning opportunities, healthcare partnerships, and advisory council engagement to ensure graduates are prepared for employment in high-demand healthcare fields.

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, Allied Health, Health Sciences, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related health discipline. Minimum three years of professional experience in healthcare, health sciences education, workforce development, healthcare administration, or a closely related field. Demonstrated experience supporting program quality, curriculum development, workforce alignment, regulatory compliance, or student success initiatives.
