Job Summary
Under general supervision this position drives a District vehicle transporting students as assigned and performs a variety of tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility. Persons hired in the position of Transportation Vehicle Driver may be in training for the duties of Bus Driver; but they need not be pursuing certification as a Bus Driver in order to qualify for employment in this position.
Requirements / Qualifications
This position is required to enter a DOT pre-employment and random drug testing pool in addition to passing DOT physical requirements. Education & Experience: • Any combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to: graduation from high school and two years of licensed driving experience. Licenses and Certifications: • Obtain and maintain a valid California Class C Driver’s License. • First Aid / CPR Certification- Training to be provided by district This position is required to enter a pre-employment and random drug testing pool in addition to passing DOT physical requirements.

All offers of employment are conditional upon the applicant's satisfactory results of the Post Offer, Pre-Placement physical evaluation program (PEP). This physical strength test helps us select employee candidates that have demonstrated a minimum level of strength to perform the essential functions of the job
