Job Summary
DEFINITION: Under the general direction of the Director of Special Services and immediate direction and supervision of the Behaviorist; implement behavior intervention strategies for students; assist certificated and classified staff in the implementation of intervention strategies for students; assist in the collection of data for Behavior Intervention Plans; reinforce learning concepts and replacement behaviors in the educational environment; manage difficult student behaviors; facilitate peer interaction.
Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION: Classroom experience with students with disabilities including autism, emotional disturbance, intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, and/or behavioral challenges preferred. KNOWLEDGE OF: Crisis Prevention and Intervention techniques; Effective behavioral record keeping techniques; Health and safety regulations.
