POSITION OVERVIEW: We are seeking an energetic, patient, and dependable Elementary School Soccer Coach to lead students in a fun, structured, and developmentally appropriate soccer program. The coach will introduce and strengthen fundamental soccer skills while teaching students teamwork, sportsmanship, confidence, responsibility, and respect. The coach should be able to create an environment that is both enjoyable and structured, with student safety and participation as top priorities. RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate soccer practices. ? Teach fundamental skills including dribbling, passing, shooting, defending, positioning, and ball control. ? Teach students the basic rules and expectations of soccer. ? Prepare students for games and competitions when applicable. ? Create drills and activities that keep students active and engaged. ? Encourage participation and skill development for students of all ability levels. ? Teach teamwork, sportsmanship, communication, effort, and respect. ? Establish and maintain clear behavior expectations. ? Provide active supervision during practices, games, transitions, and dismissal. ? Maintain a physically and emotionally safe environment for students. ? Set up, maintain, and properly store soccer equipment. ? Communicate student concerns, injuries, behavioral issues, or program needs to the After-School Coordinator. ? Work collaboratively with other coaches and school staff. ? Serve as a positive and encouraging role model. ? Follow all school and after-school program policies and procedures. ? Perform other program-related duties as assigned. QUALIFIATIONS: ? Soccer playing or coaching experience preferred. ? Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred. ? Basic understanding of soccer rules, skills, and strategies. ? Ability to provide clear directions and effectively manage groups of children. ? Patient, energetic, dependable, and professional.
