Each Commissioner serves a three-year term of office. The Personnel Commission meets monthly and is responsible for administering the Merit System for classified employees. Its guiding principle is to serve as an impartial body, free from bias or the influence of any special interest group, and to ensure that all matters affecting classified employees are handled fairly and based on merit and fitness.
