Job Summary
Under general supervision of the Assistant Superintendent, Business Services, performs the necessary duties and functions related to processing of Cycle I payroll. Establishes and maintains highly complex payroll records, is responsible for accounting functions related to accounts payable of district funds as necessary; and performs all other related duties as assigned within the Business Services Department.
Requirements / Qualifications
This position is full-time, eight (8) hours per day in the Business Services Department at the District Office. Monday-Friday, 7:30a.m.-4:00p.m.
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (Two letters are required) OR Letter(s) of Reference (Two letters are required)
- Proof of HS Graduation (High School Diploma, transcript, or equivalent)
- Resume
- Typing Certificate (35 wpm net/5 minute test from an agency is required, on line test not accepted)
Requirements / Qualifications

• Basic arithmetic, filing and record keeping procedures
• Operation of standard office machines
• Computer proficiency to include Windows and Office or higher software programs.
• Typing 35 w.p.m.; 10 – key touch
• Must have experience in the preparation of complex payrolls and the maintenance of payroll records
• Must have knowledge of school district policy and procedures
• Collaborative problem-solving methods
• Accurate record keeping
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy
• Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
Education:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
• Three (3) years accounting, payroll, and/or clerical experience, or
• Any combination of training and/or experience that would provide the desired knowledge and abilities of this job
• Payroll experience preferred
