Middle School Math and Science Teacher

Position Summary

The Middle School Teacher provides engaging, student-centered instruction primarily in Math and Science. The teacher supports students academically and socially while creating a positive, inclusive, and collaborative learning environment.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Plan and deliver instruction primarily in middle school Math and Science.
2. Differentiate instruction to meet a variety of student learning needs.
3. Assess student learning and monitor academic progress.
4. Maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom environment.
5. Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and administration.
6. Communicate with students and families regarding student progress.
7. Support students with IEPs, 504 Plans, and other identified learning needs as appropriate.
8. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, school activities, and student supervision.
9. Maintain required student records, grades, and documentation.
10. Perform other duties as assigned based on student, program, and school needs.

Qualifications

Appropriate California teaching credential or authorization for the assignment. Experience working with middle school students and teaching Math and/or Science is preferred.
