Adventure Academy provides standards-based virtual classes for TK–8 students, designed to support learning coaches in meeting students’ academic, social, and developmental needs. The program offers two course types: Adventure Academy Enrichment Classes (four six-week sessions per year; classes meet once per week) and Adventure Academy CORE (semester-long courses in reading, writing, and mathematics; classes meet three times per week to provide structured academic support). The Adventure Academy Lead Teacher serves as an instructional leader and peer support for Adventure Academy teachers while maintaining regular teaching responsibilities. Working closely with the Adventure Academy Coordinator, the Lead Teacher mentors and supports teachers, provides non-evaluative instructional coaching, facilitates collaboration and professional learning, and helps strengthen consistent, engaging virtual instruction
