Job Summary

Tulare City School District is now accepting applications for the position of: ELOP CLASSROOM MENTOR Under the general supervision of the Coordinator, Community Based Organizations in conjunction with the ELO-P Instructor; assist in the after-school program as a mentor for an individual class in the direct care and supervision of the children and maintain program standards. Follows well-defined guidelines, policies, and written procedures. Exercise patience, tolerance, and objectivity when working with individuals or groups of children. Uses judgment to determine children’s needs and when to seek assistance from ELO-P Instructor or other staff.

Requirements / Qualifications

To be considered, applicants MUST possess and attach the following documents. All required materials must be submitted with their application through Edjoin. 1. High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND 2. You must posses and provide proof of ONE of the NCLB "No Child Left Behind" requirements listed below. *A.A. / A.S. Degree OR *48 units from an Institution of higher education OR *have passed the Instructional Aide exam (CODESP)

  • NCLB Compliance (Copy of your "No Child Left Behind" qualification )
  • Proof of HS Graduation (Copy of High School Diploma)
