The free, short application for the Travis USD Teacher Residency at Alder GSE is now open! Travis Unified School District is now recruiting a new cohort for the Travis USD–Alder GSE Teacher Residency Program. This innovative and affordable pathway offers aspiring educators a direct route to becoming a full-time teacher in our community. In just one year, residents earn both a Master’s Degree and a Teaching Credential while gaining hands-on experience in the classroom. The program combines rigorous coursework led by Alder GSE faculty with a mentorship-based, co-teaching model in the TK12 classroom to develop highly effective educators. Upon completion of the residency, graduates receive priority consideration for full-time teaching positions within Travis USD Partner schools. Requirements / Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree completed by the end of June 2027 -A grade point average (GPA) of 2.65 preferred; under 2.65 GPA should still apply -Eligible to work in the United States: DACA, permanent residency, or U.S. citizen
Details For the 2027-2028 Residency Cohort: Travis USD is looking for qualified applicants in the subjects: Special Education Single Subject Math Single Subject Science Multiple Subject/Elementary Single Subject STEM with Computer Science Authorization Travis USD is looking for candidates to do the residency in the following cities: Fairfield, CA Vacaville, CA Travis Air Force Base
