Job Summary
*Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities, lessons, centers, art projects, and special activities. *Actively supervise children at all times in accordance with licensing requirements and school policies. *Support children during classroom transitions, outdoor play, meals/snacks, rest time, arrival, and dismissal. *Assist with classroom management and use positive, developmentally appropriate guidance strategies. *Encourage children's independence, social-emotional development, communication, and appropriate peer interactions. *Help maintain a clean, organized, welcoming, and safe classroom environment. *Assist with classroom setup, cleanup, sanitizing materials, and preparing activities. *Support toileting and bathroom routines as needed while promoting children's independence and maintaining appropriate health and hygiene practices. *Observe children's needs and immediately communicate concerns regarding behavior, health, safety, or development to the Lead Teacher or Preschool Director. *Assist with supervising children on the playground and during other school activities. *Follow all sign-in/sign-out, supervision, emergency, and child-release procedures. *Maintain confidentiality regarding children, families, and staff. *Communicate with children, families, and coworkers in a warm, respectful, and professional manner. *Work collaboratively with teachers, aides, administration, and other school staff. *Participate in required staff meetings, training, and professional development as assigned. *Follow all Preschool policies and applicable Community Care Licensing requirements. *Complete other classroom and Preschool-related duties as assigned by the Lead Teacher or Preschool Director. Must have 12 ECE Units
