About the Position: The School Custodian maintains a clean, safe, and welcoming campus environment. Primary responsibilities include performing routine janitorial and custodial care across all campus facilities—such as classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, common spaces, and assigned outdoor areas—to ensure compliance with school safety and health standards. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: The custodian responsibilities include the following, in addition to other duties that may be assigned: Cleaning & Sanitation Daily maintenance, sanitation, restroom care, and pest and infection control Groundskeeping and Outdoor Care Facility Support & General Maintenance Light Maintenance, event set up, staff assistance with facility requests, inventory restocking Safety, Security & Student Supervision Campus security, hazard identification, staff supervision Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to stand and walk for 85–90% of the shift, with frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and stair or ladder climbing. High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred). Valid driver’s license. Ability to pass a Department of Justice (DOJ) background check.
