The Goleta Union School District (GUSD) serves approximately 3,384 students in preschool through sixth grade across nine elementary schools. All schools offer transitional kindergarten and strong support services, including special education and mental health, in addition to after-school care at all nine schools supporting approximately 1,500 students. GUSD offers embedded programs to address specific needs of gifted students and English Learners across the district. Each school maintains a 1.0–1.5 full time positions to support intervention needs for all students. Under the direction of the Expanded Learning administrator, organize, lead and participate in the Expanded Learning After School Program (ASP & Summer Thrive); maintain close, daily contact with staff to support and guide the implementation of program objectives and standards; provide/receive information in support of the program administrator; train, assign and provide work direction to assigned personnel; and serve as liaison between students, staff, parents, District personnel and the community. * This position will focus on supporting ASP site staff with student behavior concerns, implementing positive behavior support plans, conducting student observations during regular school hours, and fostering effective communication with school personnel (e.g., school psychologists, teachers, etc.) and parents.
