Job Summary

Job Summary

Transition Specialist needed for West Contra Costa Adult Education for one year. Provide guidance and assistance for students in the ESL, High School Diploma, and High School Equivalency Programs to facilitate the achievement of career and academic goals. Will conduct assessments, evaluate transcripts and provide educational planning utilizing community based organizations and other public agencies to support students' goals. Facilitates student transitions to college, jobs, internship, and/or careers. Coordinates Orientation. Performance and program needs will be evaluated after one year. This is a one year temporary position. Monday through Thursday. 7.5 hours per day, 30 hours per week. Bilingual preferred but not necessary.

Requirements / Qualifications

Must hold a valid Single Subject or Multiple Subject teaching credential, or a Designated Subjects (ESL) Adult Education Teaching Credential or valid Preliminary Adult Education Teaching Credential. Cover letter Resume 3 current letters of reference dated within one year Livescan and TB required prior to employment
