Position Title Montessori Teacher Position Summary The Montessori Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that follows Montessori philosophy and methodology. The teacher guides students toward independence, self-discipline, and a lifelong love of learning while supporting each child’s academic, emotional, social, and physical development. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain a Montessori classroom environment that is orderly, inviting, and conducive to independent learning. Implement Montessori curriculum and instructional practices aligned with students’ developmental needs. Observe and assess student progress regularly and maintain accurate records. Guide students individually and in small groups using hands-on Montessori materials. Foster independence, responsibility, critical thinking, and respect among students. Establish positive communication with parents regarding student growth and classroom activities. Collaborate with school staff and administration to support student success. Maintain classroom safety, cleanliness, and organization. Participate in professional development and school events as required. Qualifications Montessori certification from an accredited Montessori training program preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or related field. Previous classroom teaching experience required Strong classroom management and communication skills. Passion for child-centered education and student development. The Elementary School Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging instruction that supports students’ academic, social, and emotional development. The teacher creates a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and a strong foundation in core subject areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
- Teach core subjects including reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies.
- Assess student performance and provide timely feedback and support.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student learning needs.
- Maintain classroom discipline and encourage positive behavior.
