InSync Consulting Services is seeking a qualified and compassionate Special Education Teacher - Moderate/Severe to support students in a school-based setting in Fairfield, California. The Special Education Teacher will provide specialized instruction to students with moderate to severe disabilities, developing and implementing individualized educational programs designed to support academic, functional, behavioral, communication, and social-emotional growth. Key Responsibilities: • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal requirements. • Provide individualized and small-group instruction based on student abilities, goals, and learning needs. • Adapt curriculum, instructional materials, and teaching strategies to support students with moderate to severe disabilities. • Collect and analyze student performance data to monitor progress toward IEP goals. • Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and other required educational records. • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, administrators, and families. • Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and multidisciplinary team meetings. • Provide direction and support to classroom paraprofessionals and instructional aides. • Implement positive behavior supports and classroom management strategies. • Support students in developing functional life skills, communication skills, independence, and social-emotional skills. • Maintain a safe, structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment. • Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, needs, and educational goals. • Follow all district, school-site, state, and federal special education policies and procedures.
