At Method Schools, we continuously advance educational systems to provide families access to non-traditional learning communities and to promote their right to a transformational education. The paraprofessional provides instructional, behavioral, and engagement support to students with extensive support needs who are enrolled in Method Schools' online independent study program. Working under the direction of a credentialed Education Specialist, the paraprofessional reinforces instruction delivered by the teacher, supports students in accessing a modified curriculum and functional life skills instruction, assists students in navigating the virtual learning environment, and collects data used to monitor progress toward Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals. This position primarily supports the ESN Education Specialist and the students on that caseload, and may also support other Education Specialists and special education staff as assigned. The paraprofessional reports to the Special Education Lead.
