Job Summary
The Girls Junior Varsity Soccer Head Coach is responsible for developing student-athletes' soccer skills, knowledge of the game, and character while preparing players for advancement to the varsity level. Duties include planning and conducting practices, coaching games, teaching fundamentals and team strategies, promoting sportsmanship and teamwork, monitoring player development, and maintaining a safe and positive learning environment. The coach communicates effectively with players, parents, and school staff, follows all school and athletic program policies, and assists in supporting the overall goals of the girls soccer program.
Requirements / Qualifications
Prior coaching experience at the high school level or higher is preferred, though qualified candidates with comparable experience are encouraged to apply.
Application Requirements: -Completed EdJoin Application REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL COACHES (once selected): - NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching & the CA State Component - Concussion Certificate - Sudden Cardiac Arrest Certificate - Valid CPR Certificate - Valid First Aid Certificate - Heat Acclimatization Certificate - TB test - Guidelines for the Workplace & Youth Sports Protocol & Recommendations (link will be provided) - Mandated Reporter (Child Abuse Certificate) - Fingerprint clearance (once hired, the applicant will receive an appointment from Human Resources for the fingerprint process)

Internal candidates will be considered first with Certificated personnel being priority followed by classified and other personnel.
