Mt Baldy School is a single-school district located in the village of Mt Baldy located twelve minutes out of Upland, California. Mt Baldy is part of the San Gabriel Mountain range approximately 50 miles northeast of Los Angeles, California. The school has an average enrollment of about 100 students, TK through 8th grade. Approximately 70% of our student body attends school with inter-district attendance permits (parents live outside Mt Baldy's attendance boundaries). Our school has historically scored well on standardized tests, and although we value the information these assessments provide, we believe in multiple measures to assess student learning and progress toward goals.

The Part-Time Math Intervention Teacher provides targeted instruction to students who need additional support developing essential mathematical skills and confidence. Working with individuals and small groups, the teacher will use assessment data to identify learning gaps, design responsive lessons, monitor progress, and collaborate with classroom teachers to strengthen student outcomes. The ideal candidate is patient, encouraging, knowledgeable about evidence-based math instruction, and skilled at making mathematics accessible and engaging for diverse learners. The successful candidate will have a current, valid, California Teaching Credential. Knowledge and understanding of child development, effective instructional and assessment strategies and teaching methods are highly desireable qualities for this position. As this is a combination classroom, the ability to differentiate is crucial.
