Job Summary

This posting will be used to create an eligibility list. This list will be used to fill current and future vacancies for the next six (6) months. Job Purpose Statement: Under general supervision of the Executive Director or supervisory designee, the Family Service Associate provides and monitors direct case management services to families enrolled in the Head Start/State Preschool and Early Head Start Programs; supports the implementation of the Head Start Performance Standards, Parent, Family and Community Engagement Framework, and the California State Preschool Program regulations; promotes services including social services, family and community engagement, father engagement, literacy education, health tracking and nutrition, mental health, and disabilities; partners with families to assist in developing and implementing goals to address their needs to increase family well-being, promote parent involvement, and improve children’s school readiness outcomes. Experience: One year of prior successful experience interacting with children and adults within the last three years (e.g., working or volunteering in a school or church, helping families fill out forms, or referring them to resources). Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
