Job Summary

BASIC FUNCTION Under the direction of the Business Services Senior Director and TLR Division Director. Participates in the planning, organizing and coordinating of the operating procedures of a major department and division; serves as a resource for the departments in the overall program operation; coordinates services with other departments, districts and agencies. Responsible for performing various accounting and technology system functions involving the coordination, planning, administration, support and operations of divisional services. Provides assistance and support from design through training and implementation for financial, data storage and retrieval, and telecommunication systems. Provides a variety of skilled administrative and financial support functions to the Internal Business Services, Sr. Director, and TLR Division Director. Responsible for department and divisional budget preparation, analysis and review related to the compilation, evaluation and reporting of revenue and expenditures; provides comprehensive fiscal and integrated systems knowledge, support and technical assistance to the departments and programs of the County Office. Incumbents in this class possess an understanding of the accounting and budget processes, internal controls, information security, bookkeeping procedures, automated accounting systems, fund accounting, accounting system requirements, telecommunications hardware and services, data storage and retrieval methods, and knowledge of applicable laws, statutes, rules, codes and ordinances.

SCOE Ed-Join Application High School Diploma or High School Equivalent Certificate and four years of experience in a position providing supportive assistance for administrative tasks related to accounting including the business aspects of telecommunications operation. The following documents are not required at the time of application but will be required of the selected applicant prior to employment; Department of Justice fingerprint clearance, tuberculosis skin test clearance & pre-employment drug screen clearance. Must be at least 18 years of age.
