Pending Board Approval - September 3, 2026 Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) provides occupational therapy services and supports to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), 504 Plans, and applicable educational service plans. The COTA implements occupational therapy intervention activities and strategies developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist to support students' participation and success in educational activities. The COTA works with students individually and in small groups and may provide services within classrooms and other educational environments. The COTA collects and documents student performance data, communicates observations and progress to the supervising Occupational Therapist, maintains therapy materials and equipment, and performs related duties as assigned.
