Assist students with specific classroom assignments related to programming. Demonstrate the use of hardware and software to students and teachers and work with them collaboratively on assignments. Perform technical support to teachers and students in all tasks related to computer assignments. Tutor students individually or in small groups. Assist with software documentation. Become thoroughly proficient in the maintenance of a networked system of computers. Be proficient on Internet and other retrieval systems. Maintain a neat room atmosphere conductive to productive work. Keep accurate records to insure security of software and hardware expansion as directed. Requirements / Qualifications

The Baldwin Park Unified School District is recruiting for a Resource-Computer Lab Aide. Under general supervision, the employee will perform a variety of technical and instructional duties. The Resource-Computer Lab Aide will work on a computer system assisting students in the computer lab. The employee will provide instructional assistance by tutoring students with hardware and software maintenance, and documentation. The employee will also perform record keeping and other related duties as required. For a full description of the duties assigned, please review the job description. The selection process tentatively consists of the District application review, pass the Districts instructional proficiency exam, and interviews. The Human Resources Department will contact all applicants once the selection process has been finalized. IMPORTANT: Emails will be sent to all applicants and only qualified applicants will be given the exam and interview information. Priority will be given to permanent employees. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education and Experience: Graduation from high school and any combination of education work experience, successfully completion of the District instructional examination and training which would provide the desired knowledge and abilities. Preference: Knowledgeable of different operating systems. Demonstrate the use of hardware and software to students and teachers. Be proficient in using the internet and other retrieval systems.
