Position Summary The Building Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining a safe, clean, functional, and welcoming school environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position supports the daily operation of a 7-12 grade campus by performing routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and general facility support. The Building Manager works closely with school administration, teachers, staff, vendors, and the Facilities Department to address maintenance needs and ensure the campus remains in good working condition. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Daily Campus Maintenance · Perform daily inspections of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, common areas, offices, athletic areas, and exterior grounds. · Identify and address maintenance issues before they become larger problems. · Respond to maintenance requests from school administration and staff in a timely manner. · Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance shop and storage areas. · Assist with opening and closing the campus as assigned. Building Repairs and Maintenance · Perform basic repairs involving doors, locks, hardware, walls, ceilings, flooring, furniture, and fixtures. · Replace light bulbs, ceiling tiles, and other routine maintenance items. · Repair or replace faucets, and other basic plumbing fixtures when appropriate. · Address minor HVAC issues and report larger HVAC problems to the appropriate vendor or Facilities Department. · Assemble, move, install, and repair school furniture and equipment. · Assist with painting, drywall repairs, flooring repairs, and other general building maintenance.
