REQUIRED INFORMATION: • High School Diploma • Copy of AA degree or Transcripts showing 48 semester units
The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) requires schools to be in compliance when hiring paraprofessionals for classroom instruction. The following requirements are: • Graduation from High School or evidence of equivalent educational proficiency, and • Completion of two years of higher education (48 semester units) or • Associate’s degree (or higher) or • Pass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting instruction.
