Requirements / Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience working with children or in a school setting preferred. Experience working with students receiving special education services is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patient, dependable, and organized. Ability to work independently while following the direction of the SLP and school administration. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Must successfully complete required background and employment screening.

The job is from Sep.1-December 17th Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist with speech and language activities. Work with individual students or small groups as directed by the SLP. Reinforce communication, speech, language, and classroom skills. Support students with following directions and participating appropriately. Assist with implementing accommodations and supports identified in student IEPs. Collect student data as directed by the SLP or special education staff. Maintain confidentiality of student records and information. Provide a positive, supportive, and safe environment for students. Communicate professionally with teachers, administrators, service providers, and families as appropriate. Assist students with transitions and classroom activities when needed. Perform other duties as assigned by school administration or the supervising SLP. Part-Time 3 Days Per Week Schedule will be based on the needs of the school and speech services.
