Job Summary
Under the direction of the Senior Director, Fiscal Services or designee, the incumbent will perform a variety of complex accounting functions in the preparation, processing, maintenance, verification and reconciliation of employee leave information, retirement, payroll/benefit records and payment of funds for personnel; performs related duties as required. JOB RELATIONSHIP The incumbent will distinguish themselves by their ability to plan, organize and implement complex accounting and payroll/benefit functions, general principles of accounting, auditing, and payroll, as well as significant, directly related, and progressive experience. Knowledge is applied to technical subject matter. Under direction, makes technical decisions requiring application and interpretation of data, facts, procedures, policy, and law.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education: Any combination equivalent to: Baccalaureate degree from an accredited University in Business Administration, Accounting, Math, Computer Science, Economics, or closely related field of study. Background or experience that demonstrates strong analytical, verbal and written skills required. Experience: Four years of experience with the ability to perform duties that involve accounting, business procedures, algebra, math, statistics or related subjects; payroll processing and benefits experience in school districts or a public agency preferred. Licenses and Other Requirements: Valid California Class C Driver's License
