Job Summary

Job Summary

Perform general and varied grounds and gardening functions including a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled grounds maintenance and repair work. Perform routine work in the maintenance and repair of district buildings, facilities, and equipment in areas of building trades to include electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting. These activities are required to maintain an environment that is safe and appropriate for the students and staff of Rescue Union School District. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM with an unpaid 30 minute break, 260 days per year. Benefits include earned holiday pay, vacation time, and sick leave accrual. Other benefits include membership in the Calpers retirement system, optional medical insurance, and district paid dental and vision insurance for employees and dependents.

Requirements / Qualifications

The utility maintenance technician is a full time, 12 month position, 8 hours/day with 1/2 hour unpaid meal break. Position includes CalPERS retirement membership, free dental and vision insurance and optional medical insurance. Includes paid holidays, vacation and sick leave. Employment is contingent on DOJ and FBI Live Scan Clearance, TB Assessment Clearance, acceptable DMV record, and passing a pre-employment strength test.
