Hemet Unified School District is one of the largest geographic areas of any district in California. It covers over 650 square miles of very diverse topography; from valley flatlands to foothills to mountains. It serves a growing community with a current enrollment of nearly 21,000 students. Preschool centers at nine school locations, eleven elementary schools (K-5), three elementary/ middle schools (K-8), four middle schools (6-8), four comprehensive high schools (9-12), one continuation high school (11-12), a science-based charter Middle/High School (6-12), an Adult Education Center, Independent Study Programs, a Home School Program, and a self-paced online instruction program offer a wide variety of learning opportunities for students of all ages. Requirements / Qualifications
This is a SUBSTITUTE position. Selected candidates will be used district-wide. Work hours will vary and are based on district needs. This position will cover in the following classifications: Instructional Aide (Classroom) Instructional Aide (Severely Handicapped) Kindergarten Instructional Assistant Literacy Intervention Aide Intensive Behavior Intervention Assistant Legible and valid proof of EACH of the following item(s) MUST be attached to your application: 1) Updated Resume | Detailed resume (relevant to this position) and work experience information is REQUIRED 2) Possession of an AA degree or higher or pass the District Advanced Instructional Aide assessment test SKILLS ASSESSMENT WAIVER: 1) Attach proof of completion of at least two years of college (60 college credit units) to their application OR 2) Attach proof of completion of an Associate degree or higher degree to their application. **Unofficial transcripts clearly showing applicant name, school name, and date the diploma/degree was awarded will also be accepted** If we are unable to open your attachment, you will be screened out.
