Job Summary

Under the direction of the Mountain Desert Career Pathways Joint Powers Authority (MDCP JPA) Director, the Program Specialist, CTE, trains, supports, and provides technical assistance for CTE programs and other related activities and programs for school districts. The Program Specialist will also provide technical assistance and support, including expert consultation, coaching, and strategic support to member districts. The Program Specialist supports the planning, implementation, and evaluation of high-quality CTE pathways; provides group presentations, classroom support, and administrative-level grant planning and implementation support for CTE programs at member districts.

Requirements / Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Possession of a valid California Designated Subjects Career Technical Education (CTE) or Adult Education Teaching Credential; • Possession of a valid California Administrative Services Credential or Certificate of Eligibility (COE); • Two (2) years of experience working with K-12 CTE programs; • Two (2) years of experience facilitating trainings and workshops; • Two (2) years of experience maintaining department or project budgets; • Two (2) years of experience working in a school district or county office of education; • Possession of a high school diploma or equivalency (such as a General Education Development (GED) certificate; California Proficiency Program (CPP), etc.) or higher.
