Duties Plan and execute non-traditional activities/events addressing community-defined needs. Promote education through in person and/or virtual classes, trainings, and workshops. Focus on community psychoeducation and support for mental health, coping skills, health, nutrition, financial literacy, and career development. Organize trauma-informed activities like art and dance, drumming circles, animal therapy, mindfulness, healing gardening, and mindful walking. Facilitate leadership development, empowerment, and advocacy activities, including coalition building, community organizing, civic participation, and voting rights. Support community-led groups and capacity building. Creates and maintains a respectful and trustful relationship with all stakeholders involved in the project. Assists with the design and dissemination of culturally appropriate materials and resources for program activities.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements Lived Experience: Has learned from challenges and mentors; willing to learn from others and create and engage with others. Life experience reflecting familiarity with systemic racism, the cultural practices and other experiences of the community in which they work. Computer proficient (Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Quicken, Internet Explorer, Outlook and other basic data management software). Strong experience working with the Latino Community, experience working with African American and/or Asian Pacific Islander Communities preferred. Flexible approach to Problem-Solving. Strong written and verbal communication skill in English (required) and Spanish (preferred) Experience working in a multicultural setting and sensitive to multicultural issues preferred. Ability to work a flexible schedule, which will include occasional evenings and/or weekend.
