Job Summary

The job of Satellite Kitchen Lead is for the purpose of overseeing the operation of a satellite kitchen in the serving of food; maintaining a clean kitchen and equipment; maintaining inventory of food and supplies; placing orders with Nutrition Services office; providing support to the nutrition service activities at assigned location; maintaining facilities in a safe and sanitary condition; and assisting assigned personnel to perform job functions. This job reports to the Director of Nutrition Services or designee.

Requirements / Qualifications

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE Any combination equivalent to: Graduation from high school or equivalency. Six months of paid experience in the food service industry with increasing levels of responsibility. (Please review the job description for more information) EXAMINATION PROCEDURES This is a promotional recruitment. The examination may consist of a training and experience (supplemental responses) evaluation, written test or performance test and a structured oral interview. To qualify to be placed on an eligibility list, a candidate must obtain a passing score on each section of the examination process. Final scores will be obtained by combining the relative weights of scores on each test part. If Veteran's credit is claimed, proof of status (DD214) must be submitted to the Classified Personnel Office at the same time the application form is submitted or prior to testing. The life of the eligibility list will be twelve (12) months. The resulting eligibility list will be used to fill current and future permanent and substitute vacancies. Date of Examination Candidates who are among the most qualified shall be notified via email or telephone of the time, date, and place of the examination(s).
