About the Employer

The Orange Unified School District serves approximately 24,000 students in grades kindergarten through 12th and encompasses all or part of the cities of Anaheim, Garden Grove, Orange, Santa Ana and Villa Park. In 1953, the citizens of the area voted to form a “unified” school district, combining the original five elementary districts with the high school district into one unified district, now known as the Orange Unified School District. MATERIALS * Completed OUSD EdJoin Classified Management Application * Letter of Introduction addressed to: Rebecca Norwood, Director of Expanded Learning and Collaborative Programs * Current Resume * Three Letters of Recommendation (dated within 2 years of the job posting, with a wet signature) * Bachelor's degree (copy of transcripts required) * California certificate authorizing service as a supervisor of a Child Care Program * Current American Red Cross First Aid and CPR certificate (may be obtained after appointment)

Comments and Other Information

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, preferably with coursework in education, child development, or a related field. A higher degree is desirable. Experience: Three years of experience in an instructional capacity in an Expanded Learning or Child Care program, including at least 5 years in a lead or supervisory role. Experience working with students with exceptional needs and coordinating support with families and school teams is highly desirable. Condition of Employment: Insurability by the District's liability insurance carrier. Possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle Operator's License.
