An Electrical Inspector inspects electrical installations on new construction, alterations, and improvement and rehabilitation projects for compliance with contract documents, plans, specifications, and State and local codes and regulations. Typical duties include: - Inspecting electrical installations to determine that materials and workmanship comply with plans, specifications, contracts, and applicable codes and regulations. - Inspecting light, power, bell, fire alarm, clock, and energy conservation installations. - Inspecting outlet boxes, conduits, wires, switchboards, transformers, and cabinets for compliance with specifications and approved material lists.
