Cook II Job Summary Under the direction of the Cook III or site administrator, the Cook II assists in the planning, preparation, and service of nutritious meals for students and staff. This position may serve as the lead cook at smaller school sites, overseeing daily kitchen operations, menu planning, food ordering, inventory, record keeping, and meal service. The Cook II is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment while ensuring meals are prepared efficiently, attractively, and in compliance with nutrition and food safety standards. Minimum Qualifications Experience preparing and serving meals to large groups. Knowledge of nutrition, menu planning, food safety, and kitchen sanitation practices. Ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment. Ability to maintain accurate records and reports. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work cooperatively with staff and students.
