Job Summary
- Providing toileting and diapering assistance for students with health plans or identified needs - Monitoring students with Type 1 diabetes and following their individual health plans - Administering medications as authorized - Traveling between our five school sites based on student and site health needs - Responding to student injuries and health concerns during the after-school program - Communicating with parents regarding injuries or health concerns - Creating and maintaining a log of student injuries - Completing, filing, and maintaining injury reports - Creating and maintaining a High Alert Binder for each after-school site that identifies students with allergies, medications, medical conditions, and other significant health needs - Communicating with and training Site Leads and the Director regarding individual student health plans, such as asthma plans, allergy plans, diabetes care, and other medical needs - Preparing and maintaining first aid kits for each site - Preparing individual first aid kits for tutors as needed - Preparing medications and first aid kits for field trips and ensuring appropriate health information accompanies students
Requirements / Qualifications
H.S. Graduation or Equivalent A first-aid certificate issued by a recognized first-aid training program is required. A cardio-pulmonary resuscitation certificate issued by a recognized CPR training program is required. Six months of clerical experience
