Training and Experience- Early Learning Aide II: 1. Completion of the twelfth (12th) grade or equivalent. 2. One (1) year of paid experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting or any combination of training experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities may be considered. 3. Possession of a valid First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate. 4. Successful completion of twelve (12) or more Early Childhood Education and/or Child Development units required. 5. Must obtain and maintain Child Development Associate Teacher Permit or above within six (6) months of hire. Valid CPR and First Aid Certifications from an American Heart Association or American Red Cross approved ONLY , in-person course is required upon hire. No online certificates will be accepted. Transcripts showing the successful (C or better) completion of 12, or more, ECE or CD semester units MUST be uploaded. Incomplete applications will not be considered and note that a resume does not substitute an application. All experience MUST be on the actual application.

Complete a minimum of 12 semester units of course work in early childhood education or child development (excluding field work), including at least one course of at least three semester units in each of the following core areas: - Child/human growth and development. - Child, family, and community, or child and family relations. - Programs/curriculum. 2. Complete at least 50 days of experience in an instructional capacity in a child care and development program, working at least three hours per day within the last two years. This experience must be verified by submitting an original letter from the employer on official letterhead. School-Age Emphasis under this option requires that 6 of the 12 semester units in early childhood/child development be in school age course work. ***Units for this position are specific and MUST be the courses mentioned above.***
