Summary of Responsibilities: The school clerk provides continual support to the school secretary and assists in the overall operation of the school office; registers students, carries out routine procedures, maintains records and files, assists in attendance accounting, operates various office machines, assists students and staff, acts as a receptionist. Qualifications: 1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Typing/keyboard ability. 3. Good telephone etiquette and ability to route telephone calls appropriately. 4. Knowledge of office procedures and routines. 5. Excellent communication skills - oral & written (English). 6. Ability to work cooperatively and harmoniously with faculty staff, parents, and students. 7. Ability to operate office machines. Desirable: 1. Previous experience in a school office setting. 2. Experience in using computer and databases. 3. Ability to speak and understand Spanish.
