Job Summary

Description: The Choreographer will support teachers and students in Drama. Scope of Duties: ? Lead dance rehearsals with cast for Spring Musical ? Assisting with instruction, assessment, and logistics (concerts, performances, showcases, etc.) as determined by the theater director. Job Responsibilities: ? Facilitate student involvement ? Rehearse groups of students as needed in the areas of choreography/dance, music, or acting ? Provide extra support for students ? Support and assist the classroom teacher in implementing lesson plans & rehearsals ? Monitor, document, and report on activities as needed Desired Skills and Experience: ? Artistic Background ? Professional or Industry Experience in Drama, Music, or Dance (performance, teaching, etc.) ? Background and/or familiarity with theater, dance, or music ? Experience working with grade 6-12 students ? Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations, including youth and adults ? Strong oral and written communication skills, including public speaking skills ? Ability to work independently and be flexible
