PRIVATE/PAROCHIAL PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR, SPECIAL EDUCATION (0570) 2026-2027 Job Class: 0570, Program Administrator | Salary: $145,229 - $156,219 annually | Calendar: Full Time, 211 days WHO WE ARE SFUSD is the seventh largest school district in California, serving more than 50,000 students who speak more than 44 documented languages across 130 schools. OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION Reporting to the Supervisor of Private and Parochial Services in the Special Education Services Department, the Program Administrator acts as an LEA representative and assists in the design, creation and implementation of services and support for students attending private and parochial schools, in accordance with IDEA and California Ed Code. RESPONSIBILITIES - Lead routine or complex operational projects for private/parochial students who qualify for special education - Select, train, supervise and evaluate certificated and classified employees - Lead a team, particularly a diffuse or highly skilled one - Participate in grant development and/or monitoring of budget - Facilitate use of data and data strategies - Provide stakeholder engagement tied to the work of the Private/Parochial team - Support audit and reporting responsibilities - Collaborate regularly with the special education supervisor of Private/Parochial - Communicate clearly and promptly with families, educators and community partners MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Valid California Administrative Services Credential, or eligibility for one - Five (5) years of teaching experience QUALIFICATIONS OF THE IDEAL CANDIDATE - Two (2) years of experience with the identification, development and implementation of special education law and services as it relates to private/parochial schools PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHED JOB DESCRIPTION FOR COMPLETE DETAILS.
