Under the direction of the Site Administrator and general supervision of the school nurse, administer basic first aid and screen ill or injured students in accordance with applicable laws and regulations; prepare and maintain student health records; perform clerical work as required. Required Qualifications: Education and Experience: >Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and one-year clerical experience. Some previous experience working with children in an educational, health care or child care setting is desirable. Licenses and other Requirements Required: >Valid First Aid/CPR certificate. >Valid California Class C driver’s license. Preferred: >Certification as one of the following: CNA, MA, or EMT This position is part of the Classified Employee Unit at MCUSD/MCOE and will be placed depending on experience on the Classified Employee Salary schedule on Range 20. PLEASE NOTE THE 2025-26 & 2026-27 SALARY SCHEDULE IS PENDING - SALARY IS CURRENTLY BASED ON THE 2024-25 SALARY SCHEDULE. <NCLB (No Child Left Behind Compliant.)-would either need to have an AA degree or higher or 48 or more college units (towards a BA) (must provide unofficial transcripts attached to the application) and/or the passing of our district's Instructional Aide Eligibility Test. This position will serve at Lake Don Pedro Elementary School under the Mariposa County Unified School District Special Education Department Health Services.
The Mariposa County Unified School District is located in Mariposa County and serves grades K-12. With approximately 1,700 students, the area consists of several necessary small schools, K-8 schools, and one comprehensive high school. Mariposa County has several rural communities that surround Yosemite National Park and are centrally located in California to provide a day's drive to old-growth forests, deserts, coastal communities, and cities. The area is suited for those interested in outdoor activities and rural community life.
